How do I become Shipley Certified?
Complete 6 core units and 4 elective units of Shipley training. Courses taken since 2007 count toward certification. When your units are complete, submit the Apply for Certification form or email Shipley (training@shipleywins.com) and we will verify your courses and send your certificate and digital badge.
Can I obtain certification online?
Yes. Every core requirement is available online, through live-online workshops or OnDemand courses such as Business Development Boot Camp OnDemand (6 core units). Combine them with OnDemand electives to earn your full Shipley Certification online.
Do I need to apply for certification?
Yes. Once you've completed your 6 core and 4 elective units, fill out the Apply for Certification form above. We'll verify your courses and send your certificate and digital badge.
What is the cost for the full certification?
It depends on the path you choose. The fastest route is the Shipley Unlimited Training and Certification Package: Business Development Boot Camp plus unlimited electives for one year, a $12,000+ value for $4,995. If you have already taken Boot Camp or an equivalent, the alumni package is $2,995. You can also purchase courses individually as your schedule allows.

How does Shipley certification differ from APMP certification?
APMP certification, from the Association of Proposal Management Professionals, is an exam-based credential with progressive levels (Foundation, Practitioner, and Professional) that requires APMP membership and continuing education to maintain. Shipley Certification is earned by completing Shipley training courses (6 core units and 4 elective units) in capture, proposal management, and proposal writing, and its digital badge does not expire. The two complement each other, and many proposal professionals hold both. Shipley co-founded APMP in 1989 and is an APMP Approved Training Organization.
