Originally established as a communications consulting and training firm in 1972, Shipley has evolved into the leading professional services firm focused on helping clients win business. Professional Associations
In 1989, Shipley recognized the need for a professional association that focused on proposal management. Shipley invested in the establishment of a non-profit association, the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP). Several thousand members and dozens of regional chapters around the globe now support the proposal profession through conferences, certification programs, a body of knowledge, and a business development community of practice. Shipley remains a Platinum Sponsor of APMP, is a Global Corporate Member, and is one of only a few Approved Training Organizations (ATOs) offering continuing education credits to certified members.
