It is with great sadness that Shipley Associates shares the news of the passing of its Chairman, Steve Shipley. Steve’s professional contributions, unwavering ethical standards, and exemplary fairness are renowned and serve as the pillars of the business.
In 1989, Shipley recognized the need for a professional association that focused on proposal management. Shipley invested in the establishment of a non-profit association, the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP). Several thousand members and dozens of regional chapters around the globe now support the proposal profession through conferences, certification programs, a body of knowledge, and a business development community of practice. Shipley remains a Platinum Sponsor of APMP, is a Global Corporate Member, and is one of only a few Approved Training Organizations (ATOs) offering continuing education credits to certified members.
