In 1988, Shipley recognized the need for a professional association that focused on proposal management. The company invested time, resources, and talent to establish a non-profit association, the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP). Several thousand members and dozens of regional chapters around the globe now support the proposal profession through conferences, certification programs, a body of knowledge, and a business development community of practice. Shipley remains a Platinum Sponsor of APMP and is one of only a few Approved Training Organizations (ATOs) offering continuing education credits to certified members.
